James Alexander
After a decade working at big London agencies I found myself as an Associate Director running a design team working for some of the world’s biggest brands. But what I really wanted to do was to get back to hands on design and so I established Jade Design in 2000. I gave it six months to see if it would work and have never looked back.
There are three strands to the work I do: establish or shape brands for enterprises and individuals; inform and entertain visitors to museums, galleries and attractions; craft books to delight readers (and authors).
I work in collaboration with other designers, authors, architects and clients of all shapes and sizes. The work is content-driven and I aim for appropriate, effective and original solutions. Designs that win awards but not designs aimed to win awards.
