We were commissioned by the British Museum to design the graphics for the wonderful new Albukhary Foundation Gallery of the Islamic World. An amazing team performance led by the brilliant Stanton Williams.
The vision for the Galleries of the Islamic World was a radical redisplay of the British Museum’s collections telling the story of diverse cultures across a vast region from Nigeria to China. Highlighting the material culture and continuing the story of the cultural Islamic world up to the present day. The redisplay across two galleries in the heart of the Museum necessitated considerable building infrastructure and fabric refurbishments as well as exhibition layout, concept and narrative.
